Raise the number of workspaces limit
Hey Project IDX team,
I don't want to have a limit of 2 workspaces in project IDX. Can you lift the limit of two workspaces to maybe 50-100? I want to draft a lot of flutter, angular, and react projects in project IDX. Thanks.

Would like Project IDX workspace to show edit history with character by character edits.
We will be using Project IDX to have students code websites. We used a previous website that we can no longer use. It was helpful to show the edit history so we could help students find their errors.
The character by character edit history was also helpful for us to detect plagiarism and see when they were just copying and pasting a peer's code which happened and we were able to address it before it continued on to other projects.

Connect to IDX from SSH, IDX VSCode Extension, or some other way
I want to connect to IDX from something other than the browser. Ideally, this could be my local VSCode instance or it could be over SSH from a terminal running neovim. I would like the power of a cloud workstation from my favorite environments.

Global Nix configuration for applied to all workspaces
Add a nix file that is global and unique to a particular account which includes packages that a developer wants/needs in every workspace.
For example, neovim and its associated config is something I would want to use in every workspace, but other developers may not want that OR they may have an entirely different neovim config they want to use, making the dev.nix inside workspaces impractical.
While it is possible to manually edit every dev.nix with associated packages for each project. This, however, is inconvenient at best, and problematic at worst, especially if developers are collaborating on a repo and…

I like to use my local machines for version control for security reason and with Project IDX there seem to be no security as you can look at my code.

Allow to downolad a folder as a zip
I tried to download a folder from my workspace, but it anly allows me to download files.
So, I .tar the folder using the Terminal to generate a File .tar with the folder inside, and then dowload the .tar to my computer

Need a way to manage plugins and templates remotely so that as an agency we can provide a controlled environment to our developers working remotely on sensitive projects.

Since emulators or simulators cannot access features such as camera, sound, etc., it is a physical emulator, that is, the user can use her own device as an emulator.

Offline availability
Thousands of developers, some of the very best developers are amongst them, do not have constant internet or frequent internet disruptions, it would be wise if a local VM or local installation could be available to assist them to also use IDX.

Allow paying for higher CPU and SLA
Please add the option to pay for more CPU resources and a higher SLA:
- The workspace gets sluggish as the project grows. More CPU would be helpful.
- Sometimes IDX is down for extended periods of time with a 503 (Service Unavailable).

Hide to Show
After adding an extension, GitLens, it was in the sidebar, I chose the option to Hide, but there's no apparent way to retrieve. I checked everything, even uninstalled and reinstalled, and nothing. The Hide function, for me at least, rather than hides the extension, but makes it disappear from the sidebar. Though, it still functions, I thought the option to Show would be available, even after Undo, nothing happened.

Connect IDX via SSH like GitHub Codespace. Can Terminal and use full power of IDX on Terminal. Some Developer use Terminal Tools like neovim, so it's will easy to connect and use.

More space for IDX projects 100GB
We can't complete a basic yarn install our monorepo at work. We run into the following error.
ENOSPC: no space left on deviceWhile trying to complete the yarn install. I've returned several times to the IDX project and have finally given up trying to do practical work for our live production projects with IDX as we can't even install our packages at work to get our projects running. What an absolute collosal waste of time.
Please for the love of christ increase the project capacity so we can get our commercial projects running in IDX.
