If you want to have packages, you can use the dev.nix file under the folder .idx -

With our publicized NixOS support, you can now create custom templates and even have "Open in IDX" capabilities from your Git repo.

An error occurred while saving the comment That would be really useful. And maybe there could be a menu where user can share their templates, that will then show in a "user made templates".
