Hi Derrick - due to licensing reasons, we won't be able to offer the Copilot extension directly inside IDX. IDX does provide its own Gemini-powered AI assistance: https://developers.google.com/idx/guides/code-with-idx-ai

Have you tried it? Do you have any feedback on how we can make it better?

    Thanks,
    Kirupa

Hi Ibrahim - a public status tracker is a good idea! In the interim, are there any bugs in particular that you are curious to know more about? Our bug tracker is public, so you do have the ability to scan it first if you are curious :-)

I am not very familiar with the tools involved, so I apologize if what I am about to suggest is infeasible. Here goes...

I am assuming this workflow works in your local development environment. Are you able to replicate this in IDX by installing any additional tools and dependencies? (Or by using our Nix extensibility to preconfigure the environment during boot-up)

Hi Nizam - thanks for sharing this! This is a great idea that we would like to investigate further. We'll keep you posted on what we find out.

You likely are already doing this, but one thing you can do is setup CI/CD via various 3rd party providers such as Github or CircleCI which provide the ability to integrate with various testing solutions (including Firebase App Distribution). The way to typically trigger those is via a git push or deploy.
